Whimsical Pink and Green Bedroom

This bedroom is absolutely gorgeous. The designer uses pink and green, which are complimentary on the color wheel, as the primary design colors. White provides the base. From the pink couch to the green polka dot headboard and bedskirt, the designer used little touches to create a whimsical, feminine girls room.

Colorblocking is a hot trend in fashion, but here we can also see it in interior design. For colorblocking, you take complimentary colors on the color wheel and place them next to each other. Here, we see the complimentary colors of lime green and various shades or dark or dusty pink. You can colorblock with paint on the walls, pillows, bedding, furniture, or carpets/flooring.
Colorful French Themed Girls Room

Ooh la la! This french themed bedroom by Bdifferent is absolutely gorgeous. The designer combined seafoam green, olive green, and different shades of pink, and they all came together beautifully. Notice how many different textures there are in the room; the canopy is made of tulle, the chair is tufted, and the hot pink accent pillow is ruffled.
Also notice the the myriad of patterns in the room. There are stripes on the wall, a satin flower pattern on the chair, and stripes, diamonds, paisley, and zebra in the bedding.
When creating a pink bedroom, you cannot be afraid to experiment with different textures, patterns, and shades. Playing it safe is fine, but it won’t get you a room like this.
Unfortunately, the Paris themed bedding is no longer available. I searched all over the internet and finally found that it was originally sold by Bombay Kids. Some people have been able to find pieces on ebay.
